Who Is NOT the Enemy

People are forever poised to run over and embrace Democrats because of what Micky said: “When a Republican runs, they run against a whole frontal assault of their opponents war machine... media, academia, pop-culture, etc.” The Dems try to make it look like they’re the ‘in’ thing and that Republicans are out-of-step, backwards and dumb. And we’re helping their cause by crucifying our own every chance we get. What we – and everybody else in this country – are responding to is power. The Dems have the power. Even when we win elections, we act like we shouldn’t have. We’re happiest when we can sit in the scalding sun and yell from the bleachers. The Dems like us to be there as well, so they can blame us. The more they can blame us, the more the gulf widens.

The way it’s set up, it’s totally a win–win situation for them. Their successes (winning) work against us; and their failures work against us as well.

The call to “wake up” is primarily for Americans to understand that the deck is stacked and to quit hoping for that moment when wolves turn into lambs and pumpkins into Bentleys. We’re at war here in this nation and it’s high time we begin taking sides.

The first thing to understand when fighting a war is to understand who the enemy is – and it’s not what used to be called the ‘Democrats’. Democrats have already been co-opted. They’ve gone over to the other side. Some know it; most don’t. The enemy is those who consistently tell us who is NOT the enemy – Republicans included – even though we can plainly see who is. Newt with Pelosi; Romney with ObamaCare. What’s wrong with this picture?

The take-down of Israel and the take-down of America are being orchestrated by the same group (or a coalition comprising the same group). Both nations are shot through with infiltrators. It’s simple: If Israel falls, America falls. There’s still time to stop it. However, time is growing short – less than two years. The main point being, that the black hats have been given the green light. They are forging ahead. They believe they can win. As Corlyss says, they might well be overreaching, in which case they’ll fail. I’m really not sure at which point Americans will even notice that white is not black; that down isn’t up; that it’s time to abandon our political templates and look somewhere else for our salvation.

In Quest of the Prize Pig

It’s obvious that Mr. Obama does not fear elections. He intends on muscling through. How exactly he sees ‘muscling through’ is anybody’s guess. It obviously does not involve moving to the center. It seems to me that Obama’s strategy has been set as far back as when he first started promoting the health care bill. In fact, he now seems more determined than ever to muscle his leftist agenda through.

The results of the midterm election made no difference. This proves that Mr. Obama is not a political animal. He is purely ideological. I suspect, even, that he fully intends to be president after 2012; but that he would never be willing to sacrifice his agenda for the sake of his own political popularity. This gives him an edge over anyone still mired in pre-Obama politics.

Here’s the rub: How does he expect to be reelected given his low approval ratings? The answer is obvious: There won’t be elections in 2012 …or ever. Something will happen between now and then that will preclude this wasteful expenditure.

What we are seeing now are the dress rehearsals for the final act; simply going through the motions of running various campaigns, solely for public consumption. The Republicans are placated by the expectation of winning the prize pig. Along the way they will tear themselves apart. The Dems will blame them for anything that either stalemates or goes wrong. Their own base will draw and quarter them for being unable to stop Obama’s agenda - while the Left grudgingly applauds, barely being able to contain themselves. (The Left too will lose its status in the 'new world order' where left and right are the same).

Even in a clean and fair election, Republicans will enter the arena looking small and spent. Add to this mix the likely entry of a third party candidate, and the Republicans are toast.

Obama reelected would buy us time. I’ve said many times that if McCain had won, we would already be seeing the worst - as is now happening in Greece. With Obama at the helm, the Left still sees an advantage in keeping its powder dry. A Republican sweep in 2012 would literally ‘unleash the dogs‘ (to turn a phrase). I believe that those highest on the food chain know this. (McCain knew it.) They know that reelecting Obama will be the best among a whole series of bad options for us.

Obama knows it too. That’s why he struts around, looking so smug. He knows he can’t be touched. He’s simply there as a cutout for those whose phone calls he takes (or meets with across the street from the White House).

Bush knew it. That’s why he won’t say anything. He’s happy to no longer be a part of it; thankful that history has let him off easy.

Elections will no longer play a pivotal role in American politics. We’ve heard it from no less than the lips of the former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (while speaking of ‘shared values’ at Tufts University earlier this week).

“Shared values” indeed! Whose values? Based on what? I guess we’ll just have to wait till it happens. Then we’ll know what’s in it.

Blame America First

Frank Wisner speaks the obvious. But, it goes counter to what POTUS and Hillary are saying. It goes against reported public sentiment on the streets in Cairo. It goes against what most pundits in our media are saying - that Mubarak must go, YESTERDAY!

The ‘blame America first’ crowd has staged a significant comeback. There’s fresh wind in their sails. Throughout major media reporting, the narrative developing is that we are singularly responsible for maintaining Mubarak - a tyrannical dictator - for so many years; that we (America) have been in support of nasty tyrants all over the world who make their populations suffer; blah, blah, blah… It even cropped up on this mornings ‘Religion On The Line’ radio program and remained basically unchallenged.

We seem to feel totally comfortable with the notion of blaming ourselves for all that’s wrong everywhere. How narcissistic we are, believing that the whole world turns only around us! If we can take credit for every evil, it’s still about us - isn‘t it? And that’s the point: I, me, mine - us - America. We may be the ‘Great Satan’, but we’re still ‘great’ and that’s all that counts.

Besides, Barack Hussein Obama has promised to single-handedly turn us away from the dark side and into the light. That’s why we elected him.

Before the 2008 election VP Biden said at a fundraiser: “Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama… Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis - a generated crisis - to test the mettle of this guy (Obama)… And he’s gonna need you… to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially… that we’re right.”

Well, it took longer than six months (unless you want to count the post-election protests in Iran), but let's not quibble. And ever since, in my own humble estimation, we’ve been holding back or doing the wrong thing entirely. Biden warned us of that back when. He essentially said, “Trust us. We know what we’re doing.”

Well, the jury is still out on that. Not sure if the White House is as confused as we are about what’s happening in Egypt. At the end of the day, confusion is only a temporary smoke screen. It might well be that all will be revealed in due time. As one left-wing clairvoyant so aptly put it, "We have to pass our bill so that you can find out what is in it". Nice string of alliterations, but otherwise quite perplexing. Looks like, as in everything else Obama has tried, chaos is the goal.

I'll Eat My Hat

There are people all over the country who now claim that Mr. Obama is now finally positioned on the right side of things due to his stance on the Bush tax cut (sic). However reluctantly, Obama appears to have bitten the bullet and done what’s right. Let’s say the Bush tax cuts (sic) are extended for a year or two. For ordinary families it would simply mean that the status quo has been maintained. Hurray!

Keep in mind, we will have done nothing to reverse our downward slide. In fact, we have made our situation worse by accelerating our descent into debt via the pork that has now become attached to this bill. We have set ourselves up to fight this fight again the next time it comes around - hence, there continues to be uncertainty. Not even the president is fully on board which he made perfectly clear at his (not Bill Clinton’s) presidential press conference. So, if it fails to ‘stimulate’, which it will, for there is nothing to suggest that (contrary to the opinions of Pelosi and Reed) paltry unemployment checks magically turn anybody into big a spender.

We have become so desperate as to grasp at mere straws just to prove that our bold new experiment with socialism works, that we are now quite willing to overlook the big picture. Hitler was the impetus behind the concept of the Volkswagen. It was a huge success and has survived to this day, yet we are not prepared to proclaim the Hitler years a triumph based on this alone. What’s scary is that Obama himself could dive into the frigid Potomac and save a drowning child just before the 2012 elections and we would potentially reward him with an additional term in office, overlooking the fact that every one of his major policy initiative is geared to diminish our nation in some significant way.

I hold to my prediction re the fate of the Bush tax cuts. If it turns out that I am wrong, I will admit it. If anyone should demand that I eat my hat, I will gladly do so. It should be a relatively easy feat as I don’t wear hats in any case.

To Make It Seem It Never Happened

There’s no puzzle here. When, oh when, will anybody begin to understand that this is not some chess game between Republicans and Democrats where one of the kings is left standing and another game ensues? This is the endgame by which the very game board is consumed.

I feel I’m reliving the time right after the ‘global warming’ hoax was exposed. Have we walked away from it? Have we swept it in the ash can? No. We’re proceeding as if the incriminating data leaks never happened; ‘cap and trade‘, here we come! Or when Mohammed Atta and the gang flew into the World Trade towers. We seldom talk about it anymore. This doesn’t mean it never happened. Or when the Cheonan was sunk by the North Korea. We pretend that if we don’t say anything more about any of these things, they never happened; that we can be safe simply by forgetting.

Similarly, if the same faces (Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Schumer) continue to dominate the news, the midterm shellacking of Obama’s policies never happened.

Much has been made of the comparison of Obama to Carter. There is no comparison. Carter did his best - albeit incompetently - to serve his nation. They’re trying to say the same thing about Obama. But there’s a world of difference. Obama means to deliberately destroy us. For him the bad economy, the joblessness, the collapse of health care, the collapse of the dollar, the imminent collapse of Israel - all are victories. He means to go further. We still have further to fall. He means to go all the way - like a young communist/Islamist on his first date.

JB doesn’t get it; Meese doesn’t get it; nobody gets it. Yet the alarms are going off are all around. We won’t get it till after it’s happened. And even then, we’ll continue to argue over whose fault it was.

The time to do something is now. But 99% of the population still has its head in the sand; including Rush who opines that the best thing to happen to the Republicans is having Pelosi and Reid as the face of the Democrat party. This is the wrong way of looking at it. It’s not good to have them back. That’s why I despaired after the results of the elections were announced. The same game continues. The only thing that’s changed is the faces of the strawmen - who are now no longer Bush.

Culture of Corruption

It looks like the ‘culture of corruption’ within the Democrat Party is coming home to roost. Both Rangel and Waters are right to insist on a public airing. They have done nothing that most of their Democrat colleagues haven‘t also done. Nancy Pelosi, for instance. What is surprising is that any of this has even come out. With the Dems in complete control of the process, I would have thought they could have kept it all under wraps. Who would have challenged them? Not Republicans. It speaks of a Democrat party in disarray; in self-destruct mode. The in-fighting has begun and will not end well.

For some time now, I have been alluding to the suspicion that one of this administration’s principal aims is to lay waste Congress in general - and, with it, any vestige of representative governance. Republicans have already shown themselves as woefully ineffective. It stands to reason that the next step is to strike the fatal blow against Democrats as well.

Case and point: Yesterday we witnessed the spectacle of the Senate in action. Sen. Charles Schumer of New York had the floor to himself as he and Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland held a special session to pass a $600 million border security bill which everyone agrees is inadequate. The Senate historian said it was the first time just two Senators passed a bill.

It was a nod to all those who are demanding action on the highly volatile immigration issue. Democrats, in effect, said, “You want a bill? Here’s a bill. Live with it.” The cavalier way in which this non-entity was passed goes along with how the House has been conducting business since the current administration has been in office. “You want it paid for? Fine. We’ll pay for it by raising the fees on H-1B visas which allow foreign workers to work in the U.S. All the bases are covered. Now let’s go home and continue with our summer vacations.”

Meanwhile in India there is much hand-wringing. Indians are well aware of how this small, seemingly throw-away gesture by Democrats affects them. Virtually every middle and upper class family has someone working in the U.S. Many of them can be expected to lose their jobs.

This is a huge issue for them, as well as a loss for us. Indians working here are well educated and highly trained. They fill a niche in any number of specialized fields in which Americans can and do not compete.

So, with yesterday’s throw-away gesture we’ve managed to turn a whole nation against us. Bravo Chuck Schumer, Ben Cardin, Democrats, Republicans, President Obama! You’ve done it again. This is not effective diplomacy. This is shoddy; grandstanding. This strikes at the very root of a nation - a nation that has heretofore been one of our most adoring allies.
