Something Doesn't Add Up

Look where we were just two years ago. Bush was playing the role of the ruddy, good-natured fireman in the dunking seat at the local county fair. We all cued up to give it our best shot, hurling projectiles at the big, colorful target that was hard to miss. Over and over, he went down into the tank only to emerge wet and dripping. We gleefully continued to play the game even after the sun had gone down and he was shivering. Some of us took cheap shots, aiming our shoes at his face. How we laughed! It was all in good fun. What else are county fairs for?

Little did we know that it all was to boomerang. Now we are the target. Reading today’s opinion columns in the NYT, we are told we are stupid, small-minded, xenophobes for not embracing - among much else - the mosque at Ground Zero.

The game has artfully turned deadly. We suspect something is very wrong - something is happening which we never expected could happen in our country. Elections still seem an eternity away. Midterms. Shrug. It’s bigger than that. As we learn more and more about Alinsky, Cloward, Piven among others too numerous to mention, it gets downright scary. We’re no longer living a James Bond novel in which Sean Connery can be expected to fight for our side - and win. We are the only side remaining, it seems - all the others are against us.

How did Bush do it? We never suspected we were in this deep s**t. “D’ya miss me yet?” Yes we do, Mr. President. We know you’d have just the right words to say concerning the mosque and all. We know you’d get dunked again for opening your mouth. We now know that your erstwhile enemies are now our enemies. We just wish we’d have a man in The White House who’d feel comfortable inviting someone like Rush to dinner, letting him and his wife sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom for a couple of nights and chew the fat over breakfast. He’d then come back to us and tell us it’s all alright, that there’s a plan - a plan for saving our country.

We’d be quite prepared to sacrifice; to do whatever it takes. We’d rally around the flag until the whole lot of these bastards are defeated. (This includes you, Hillary!) We’d even buy government bonds with what money we’ve got left, and work our fingers to the bone in some rivet factory for the slightest glimmer of light.

What I still can’t understand is the women nowadays. Would they really want to go back to a totally male-dominated society without any rights? Why aren’t they up in arms and at the point of the spear? Can’t they see where it’s going? The military is banned from recruiting on campuses because of ’don’t ask, don’t tell’. Why aren’t Muslim organizations banned from those same campuses for their even greater affronts to human dignity?

No. Something doesn’t add up - doesn’t add up at all.

Beatific But Improbable

You label Jeff Adachi a ‘progressive‘. ‘Progressive’ essentially means ‘communist’. Adachi was apparently not paying attention or absent from school when ‘progressivism’ was presented in a series of lectures at Berkeley. He appears to have missed at least one of its critical lessons - the one about the eventual fate of the proverbial ‘golden goose‘.

The concerns Adachi raises do not enter in any discussion relating to progressivism/communism. In fact, these can be regarded as inconsequential - ‘category error’ - and quite unrelated to the field. The roadmap to communism as laid down by Marx, Alinsky, Cloward, Piven and others, is in fact a recipe for slaughter. At that point the narrative ends and we are left to imagine the rest. The ritual sacrifice of the ‘goose’ effectively ends the earthly portion of one‘s obligation. What follows is some version of the ‘Last Supper’ after which we can presumably collectively cross over into the balm of salvation. Iran’s ayatollahs are promoting a similar scheme.

It never ends up being neat as all that. After all was said and done, Jim Jones’ tropical kindergarten compound still left the task of disposing of the bodies. In North Korea, it left an entire population languishing on the razor’s edge of starvation. Mao’s original vision had to be rolled back considerably when it became apparent that the apocalypse was still quite a ways off.

The latest to have come knocking at heaven’s door is Barack Hussein Obama. The plan is to keep boiling the milk and reducing it to that sublime essence that simply melts in one’s mouth. Obama missed none of the lessons. As such, he knows full well what he’s after: that final cleansing by fire after which blind and bloodless justice will reign unimpeded in the rarified air of Reverend Wright’s (Liberation Theology) church. It’s a world without metrics - without standards - in which every last one of us is cipher equal; in which there is no difference even in difference. The thief and the robbed are the same; as are the murderer and the murdered; the lewd and the chaste; rich and poor; stupid and smart; the worker and the one with his hand out. Sounds like somebody’s beatific but improbable vision of heaven to me.

POTUS Speaks Mechanically

When Obama agreed to reach into the big time and act as front man for the Soros-led super cabal of blind faith red and green agitators, he thought the work would be easy. With the Pavlovian applause of a condemned nation (and world) still ringing in his ears; he thought, “How hard could it be kicking down sand castles?”

Obama is not his own man. He’s a mask, bought and paid for. In this way, he has the exact same function as BP’s Tony Heyward had.

POTUS speaks mechanically alright because he’s been rocked. He realizes that one of the perks he was promised has dried up. He’s no longer getting the adulation his ego so craves. He craves it because he himself is incomplete. He sought to fill a never-ending personal void – with applause.

The signs are not good. The opposition is gaining. He knows his handlers won’t let him lose. They’ll keep him in the ring until the bitter end. It won’t be pretty – for team Obama, that is. People are starting to say things now – things they wouldn’t have said a year ago. And yet, he’d followed the famous script to the letter. He’d tried to infuse the role with the passion that any world class performance demands. He now questions himself. Maybe he just wasn’t as good as he thought he was. He hears the crowd booing; he hears the cat calls; each, a dagger twisting in his heart. He guesses it all started falling apart back when Alinsky’s CliffsNotes were distributed to the public.

Time for a mind-clearing Zen break on the links. Time for another cigarette – it could be the last. What was it again - the last thing the condemned men in the old movies usually asked for before…?

Poser

Every expectation, both domestically and internationally, has been turned on its head by this administration. Most of us have yet to realize this. We still insist on calling it failure (or incompetence) when ticking off accomplishments (or the lack thereof) since Barack Hussein Obama has been in office. Can we now say ‘DELIBERATE’?

Iraq is a throw-away for Obama. He’s looking to scoot under any pretext. The mission as he sees it – his mandate, if you wish – is to remake America. Even that is a euphemism, I’m afraid. He means to destroy us. He sees America as an unrepentant evil that must be erased from the earth.

On the Right, it has become fashionable to shout ‘SOCIALISM’ in the hope of stirring the comatose into exhibiting some spine arched in opposition. It's even worse than that. Socialism is the least of it. Other nations have and are surviving - whereas some can even be said to have prospered - under socialism. Read Alinsky again. Obama intends to destroy us. This means, every trace of what we have come to know as 'America' - gone. To do this, he has lit many fuses. Economic collapse is no longer unthinkable. Neither is Israel's demise. The specter of violence looms on our own shores, stoked by this administration and by the now state-controlled media. Obama wants no less than revolution - with all its bells and whistles.

Socialism to these people is merely a point of argument to keep us distracted and confused while discord about race, gender, income, political affiliation, etc. is sown. Obama has come to divide and destroy so that his name will go down in history as the greatest of tyrants the world has ever seen - to outshine even Mao, Stalin and Hitler. In this way he intends to win the respect of modern-day tyrants who have thus far dismissed him as a mere poser.

Tantrums

Even one full year after taking office, the Obama administration is still in campaign mode. They still think they’re up against Republicans and, particularly, George W. Bush. It’s a disconnect that everyone is beginning to notice, especially in light of the fact that Republicans have not been doing much talking, and neither has GW. All they’ve been doing is quietly reeling out rope.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration, primarily because of its preoccupation with Bush, is also missing the signals the American people are sending. They’re spinning it so as to attribute their plummeting poll numbers to a failure to adequately explain the agenda (besides, of course, not getting it done within the timeframe predicted). They promise to re-double their effort: making more speeches; making more deals; twisting more arms; etc. They truly believe that the problems they’ve encountered are systemic: inherent in legislative protocol itself; inherent in the (unfriendly to big government) Constitution; inherent in the disinformation disseminated by FOX News and talk radio.

We can expect them to address all of this and more in the second and third year to smooth the way for Obama’s second term coronation. Senate rules will be changed; ditto, House rules. The Constitution will continue to be ignored (until someone gets it together enough to issue a formal complaint). And FOX News and talk radio will continue to be attacked, if not shut down altogether.

All this will be done in the belief that there is only one way to do things; that, because they won, it is now their turn to do shape the world to their image. Obama keeps saying that if there are any other ideas out there, he will put them on the table and consider these as well. He is lying. He is just as guilty as the next guy of ‘profiling’ – except, Obama profiles ideas. If they serve to advance the cause of socialism, he is down with it. If not, he rejects them outright. No thought is given to actually solving a problem. Problems are simply vehicles – like poverty, race, illegal immigration, and illiteracy have always been vehicles for the Democrat Party. Rather than issues to be addressed forthrightly and solved, they are to be used year after year to augment their power, grow government, and to act as a mace to bludgeon Republicans with.

BHO continues to make the mistake in thinking that he can continue to get away with performing the tricks outlined in the old Democrat playbook. He doesn’t realize that since his ascendancy to power, nearly everyone in this country has become aware of Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and the ‘Cloward-Piven Strategy’. To the extent that Obama himself actually believes it, is unknown. But suspicions are running high. The parallels are just too numerous. In addition, he overestimates his own (firm) support, not realizing it’s down to around 20%, which is what even a slug could expect were it elected POTUS.

No doubt, the Oval Office itself continues wield tremendous power. The man in it can still do an awful lot to affect us. Obama still has three years left to do his worst. We’ve seen that he cannot be educated and that he will not moderate. In his remaining time at the helm, we can expect to witness increasingly destructive tantrums authored by a determined and frustrated man.

Rules for radicals

I continue to believe it takes smarts to be elected POTUS. I never believed, as many did, that Bush was dumb. Neither do I believe that Obama and the people behind his meteoric rise to power are dumb. Bush basically failed because the (I'll be kind and call them) ‘Democrats’ with help from academe and the press mounted a formidable campaign against him; initially, on the basis of party politics alone. The political rancor got so intense and chaotic; it weakened not just individuals but both parties as well. This allowed the weaker of the two to be infiltrated and eventually taken over by radical elements. Today, it is a misnomer to call Democrats ‘Democrats’. They are, strictly speaking, Marxists.

Obama has no opposition. We must then assume that whatever happens has been carefully planned, including confusion and chaos.

In Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” the message is clear: “A revolutionary organizer must shake up the prevailing patterns of their (middle class) lives—agitate (my emphasis), create disenchantment and discontent with the current values, to produce, if not a passion for change, at least a passive, affirmative, non-challenging climate.” Through agitation on multiple fronts the community organizer, Obama, hopes to overwhelm the system and render it broken and unable to meet the people’s (especially the middle class’) expectations. According to Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, a book our current president has most assuredly read (and quite possibly committed to memory) – a book about how to bring about a Marxist revolution in America – the people must be rendered “…numb, bewildered, scared into silence. They don’t know what, if anything, they can do. This” he says, “is the job for today’s radical—to fan the embers of hopelessness into a flame...”
