Genius has consequences. It is often regarded as heretical. Genius is thinking outside the box: If someone can think it, it usually can be done. It just needs lots of people to work out the details. Drones. The trick is coming up with the idea in the first place.

When talking about genius, Einstein immediately comes to mind. He taught us to see ourselves in a completely new way. There was nothing sinister or controversial about Einstein. He was not known for making overt political statements. Yet the politics of his day drove him to seek more fertile ground. Princeton, where he theorized and taught till his death in 1955, provided a fitting bucolic backdrop to his ever engaging harmless hairstyles.

Einstein’s research also led to the development of nuclear weapons. There is no reason to assume that this alone spurred his intellect. In fact, had he known, he would probably have aborted his research.

Facebook was born out of an infantile impulse. It quickly turned into a legitimate tool for social networking. Of late, it has been accused it of being responsible for toppling governments.

Skype is said to serve millions, including many who have relatives living abroad. It is a way to communicate over the net. Initially, the ability to see the person you were talking to was novel enough to download the program. Now, I dare say, most people using the service leave the camera turned off. A more tangible lure is that the service is free, bypassing post office queues and telephone charges. Governments are stymied. They are forever threatening to tax such services. But how is it possible to tax something that’s free?

Perhaps therein lies the ultimate solution that Utopian new worlders have in mind: everything free. With the collapse of economies it almost seems like a given: Free services for all. Success or failure would then hinge solely on the number of subscribers; rate of activity; polls; readers; watchers; bell curves, etc. Governments, wedded to old-school money and regulation for fuel, would collapse.

Where Is The Birth Certificate?

What explains Jerome Corsi’s book, “Where’s the Birth Certificate?, shooting up to # 1 on Amazon where it has remained ever since? Apparently, people are not convinced that it means nothing, no matter how loudly members of both political parties, in conjunction with the media, proclaim the idiocy of even asking the question. While Americans have always taken political talk with a grain of salt, their wholesale distrust of the media (even so-called right-wing media) is relatively new.

The issue of Obama’s birth certificate has become the central question being asked everywhere – in barber shops, in the supermarket – “Just who the hell is this guy?”

While Obama’s policies plainly expose him as a Marxist, it is not necessarily this that irks the public. In America, isms alone have seldom held the power to inspire. We tend to operate on a far more basic level. We have difficulty in grasping abstractions. We ask for drivers licenses, proof of insurance and registration after car accidents. We do not ask if you are a Christian, Hindu, Marxist or whatever. It seems incredible to us that while witnessing this train wreck of an administration that no one is demanding a priori proof of legitimacy. The fact that it is even an issue being fought out in the courts is astounding to us.

Ironically, if we were to find out that Obama is indeed native born, it would be even worse for us. It would signal that his aggressive ideology is entirely domestic and now apparently mainstream. Many of us would be unable to recall when exactly the change took place, and ask ourselves, “How could we have missed it?”

We didn’t miss it. It’s happening now. And now is the time to get to the bottom of it.

In large part, we are still a nation of laws. We grumble, but we pay our taxes. It is entirely understandable that the authorities on every level are concerned. If it were to come out that Obama is indeed a fraud, all bets are off. Nobody in their right mind could accept that lying down. We either insist on immediate retribution or we cross over into lawlessness.

One can only see others; one cannot know them. The fallacy in Buddhism is the notion that one can divorce oneself from certain things and remain aloof. This is only true up to a point: one may come to know the depth of self and find it empty. (Interesting to note that the depth of self is something one cannot see.)

As this might relate to me specifically, I feel comfortable writing words on my laptop. My laptop is my Peepal tree. I am blessed by its leaves that give me shade.

I do not claim to know more than what I write, and vice versa. I am blessed by the leaves of the Peepal tree that sometimes alight on my head. As for knowing – only God knows.

I take it you have watched Trump’s show. I have not. Therefore, your references to his show escape me. I base my assumptions on what I do see: Trump Towers in New York and Trump Casino in Atlantic City.

Given our current economic conditions, his claim that he still has enough money to manage a presidential campaign also speaks volumes. In addition, I hear what he says. I have heard nothing, since embarking on his quest for the presidency, with which I disagree. What he said previously, is of no importance to me since it was not said as one who would hoodwink the public in a political sense. From now on, I will pay attention.

It is now generally accepted (mostly by conservatives) that raising taxes does not necessarily translate into more revenue for the government; that, in fact, what the government collects is likely to stay the same as a percentage of GDP no matter what the tax rate is. This is not fantasy. It can be documented by historical example. Therefore, the emphasis should be on growth.

If our problem is that government does not have enough money to pay its bills – as we are told – then lowering taxes across the board would seem to be a significant part of the solution. Yet current policy makers insist that we go in the opposite direction.

There should not even be an argument about this. The same percentage taken out of a smaller pie will result in reduced intake by the treasury and vice versa. The fact that we cannot agree means that something else is at stake: social engineering in the form of the redistribution of American’s wealth as to achieve total equality (both domestic and globally).

Our politicians are loath to tell us of their true intent; our universities fail to educate. So we are sent out into the street to protest the mere possibility that our neighbor makes a dollar more a week than we do. This is considered ‘unfair’. Everyone should have the same after all. The next step is for all of us to start wearing matching uniforms.

It bugs me no end when politicians use this canard to bat around. Why don’t they just tell us outright that they want to make us all the same, discard all pretense of actually balancing the budget and raise the debt limit to infinity? This way, all of us would be cured of the compulsion to compete and concentrate on simply staying alive.

Mitch Daniels Misspeaks

‘Error code’ for what? I must have missed this. But I’m sure he must have said something to offend either the Right or the Left. If it’s the Right, redemption is still possible. If it’s the Left, he’s cooked. The very gates of hell will open up out of that shoe box (with the pot in it) of his.

It troubles me that Mitch Daniels felt compelled to walk anything back. It shows that his primary aim is to appeal to voters. Haven’t we had enough of that: politicians speaking out of both sides of their mouths, saying one thing to one audience and another thing to another; and walking it back both times. Who really knows what they intend?

I, for one, would have more respect for Obama if he were to come right out and say it; that his plan is to topple representative governance along with capitalism and impose shariah on the American people; and that, in addition, he wants to push Israel into the sea and murder every Jew on the face of the earth, instead of comparing himself to every past American president who happens to have - at one time or other - caught America’s imagination.

I would equally welcome any politician who would step forward (now) and declare his or her intention to stop Obama in his tracks. It’s not just about overturning Obamacare, reducing taxes, or soothing any other single-issue voters’ concern. It’s the whole ball of wax: energy, education, the economy, race relations, foreign policy, etc. - all of which feed into the mix of anti-Americanism in one way or another.

At least, this way we would know where we stand and we would not waste 99% of our time and energy debating each point separately to no conclusion.

Right now, I personally see no solution other than letting Obama have exactly what he wants - reduce our nation to the likes of Zimbabwe or North Korea - and watch if our population will not at some point rise up and hold the whole bunch of them responsible. Let them throw us in prisons; let them place an imam on every street corner, armed with a knife to slit our throats; let them take our children and keep them hostage in their madrassas; let them hold public hangings, floggings, stoning, and amputations; and make attendance mandatory. Let them demand our money and property and make them communal. Let them rape and defile our women. Let them do all these things and more and watch for the point at which the NYT and all the alphabet broadcasters decide to turn against them so that we can finally stand united against the onslaught that continues to rage against us. Change always comes from within.

Am hoping for the day when we will once again can see patriotic movies being made and hear patriotic songs sung. How much will it take to turn us around?

As long as we listen to guys the likes of Daniels and Gingrich with maple-flavored oatmeal dripping from their lips as they speak; I’d say, we still have a long way to go.
