Short Bits: Killing Osama

I seem to remember a soldier being court-martialed for giving a captured terrorist, a fat lip. Now I could be wrong; I never heard anything about it again. I understand, the rules of engagement are really quite stringent – unless, of course, they are overruled by the Commander-in-Chief.

A police officer who has killed in the course of duty often requires many hours of counseling. Now that Obama has a targeted kill under his belt, he cannot help being a changed man. (Somebody must have given the order to ‘kill on sight’.) He can now go one of two ways. Either he will grow hesitant and indecisive, or he will take on the role of mob boss with renewed gusto.

Killing has always been the ultimate wet dream of the Left. I remember people incessantly toying with the idea while Bush was still in office. And just this week liberal talk show host, Mike Malloy, proposed on air that the Navy Seals kill “mass-murderer” George W. Bush.

Despite the apparent applause from all virtually quarters, I cannot shake a distinct sense of unease.

Hypothesize me no hypotheticals. They are frankly less than worthless. Reality demands response. You can sit and think and think all day long about "what ifs."

I say good on SEAL Team 6! We need more of that kind of covert assassination rather than a moralizing epitaph for the dead. A writer who fancies himself a historian and moralist declared a couple of years ago that the only "winners" of WW2 were the European Jews because most of them died and, in so doing, aquired a sort of beatification of the defenseless. The writer implied that was a state that all peoples should aspire to if they want their reputations to survive conflict. Bugger that.

"Why not capture him?" (John Batchelor asks.) "Infamous war criminals make for epochal landmark war crimes prosecution (the delusional, deprraved, stupid Martin Borman: and surely the Nuremberg gang was far more frightening the Bin Laden)."

Why capture him? The Nuremberg trials might have been epochal, but they were a huge political mistake. They gave the illusion of state action without a legitmate state. They polluted the judicial process with a star chamber whose outcome was never in doubt. They wasted a lot of money creating the impression that there was such a thing as consensus in an international community that was hardly more developed than the Libyan resistence is today. Churchill was right: the trials have indeed come back to haunt the hell out of us, establishing a precedent that lives in the feckless ICC and the misguided internationalist blather that motivates many policy makers in the EU and other trend-setters seeking legitimacy for an international community incapable of doing anything but relief work by consensus. Quasi-states are impotent in so many categories of critical civil society functions that to bestow on them serious state functions like law enforcement and war-making capability is simply delusional.

Final thought: I guess what has me upset is that this Osama killing accrues to Obama. It’s just one more way for Obama to maintain the illusion that he is an ‘American’. He is not. Everything he’s done has been detrimental to our nation. I say it’s deliberate. Read Kimberly A. Strassel’s opinion piece entitled “Obama’s ‘Gangster Politics’” in today’s WSJ; and then go on to read Gerald P. O’Driscoll, Jr.’s “Barney Frank’s Latest Bad Idea”. Then turn the page and read Michael B. Mukasey’s “The Waterboarding Trail to bin Laden”. And that’s just today! Every day brings a fresh outrage or more. And now we’re supposed to forget it all and say he’s the best thing since sliced bread? Not me, brother!

Perhaps Cicero said it best:

J'Accuse

What’s there not to like? Obama now goes around and openly says all this Marxist stuff. And we just sit around applauding – like the monkey pull-toy clapper I had when I was three. It’s we who see but refuse to listen. All this ‘eat the rich’ garbage the administration constantly spews is nothing to cheer about. First, they come for the rich; then they come for the smart… Then everything grinds to a halt.

You might say, ‘But I’m neither rich nor smart.’ But don’t you see? It just keeps going like that until they also come for the stupid. You think the stupid are immune? Eventually, they’ll come for everybody. And you’re somewhere in there as well. If they’re allowed to come for one, they’ll come for all. You’re not separate from the rich, even if you’re poor. We’re all in this together. That’s why I don’t understand why we’re so willing to sacrifice even one while we’re all standing in line.

What the hell does ‘rich’ and ‘poor’ even mean these days? We’re all playing with the same Monopoly money. They’ve practically squeezed the life out of it.

I've never understood the Jews standing so quietly in line for the showers. They must have seen that no one ever came out. What did they think? That God would intervene? God intervened alright and gathered them up to His bosom. They were such a damn spiritual lot! Maybe that’s all they really wanted. I understand the guards first wore them down – made them work till they could barely eat anymore. Not that the food they gave them was so great.

God, I hate what’s happening to our country! I won’t go quietly. Even if they’ve already rigged it, I’ll tell them till my last breath that I know. And, if any of them still have a conscience, I’ll make them feel ashamed.

Soros: What's In A Name?

I don't understand why we don't see it. We've erased the word 'war'. We've erased the word 'victory'. We're working on erasing Israel. Who does it benefit? Answer: Iran. We've got Iran in the White House!

We can tell Obama all we want about what he should do. He won’t listen. In fact, by telling him, he’ll know to do exactly the opposite. We can tell him to lower taxes, cut regulations, allow drilling, etc. There are a lot of very good and time-tested ideas floating around. It won’t matter. His goals are fundamentally different from ours. And until we accept this, and see it for what it is, we will continue on our downward trajectory.

I’m not even blaming Obama. He’s just a water boy for the big man who’s pulling the strings: George Soros. Soros appears to have some giant mad chip on his shoulder about having been born a Jew. There’s nothing more lethal than a self-hating Jew. (Hitler is said to have had a similar hang-up.)

Soros’ name changed three times. Brings to mind all the social security numbers that have been attributed to Barry S. ‘Soros’, the name that stuck, is a palindrome. That makes it special. It also means ‘next in line’ or ‘designated successor’ in Hungarian; and ‘will soar’ in Esperanto. George was taught Esperanto from birth. I need hardly explain the significance of Esperanto to this audience.

The evidence suggests that Soros engineered Obama’s electoral victories. It’s not a stretch to assume that he even now controls the lad.

'Three Jewish Children' by Caroline Glick

I would urge you all to read Caroline Glick's column in today’s Jerusalem Post entitled, "Our World: Three Jewish Children". As a reading of this column were not horrific enough, I suggest a little exercise: Substitute the word "America", "Republicans", "conservatives", or "tea parties" every time you see the word "Jews" and you'll have a fair indication of what's happening in our own country today.

We are not yet at the point where hatred has been stoked up to combustible levels; we still harbor hope that our political process can contain outright violence. But realize we find ourselves only a few steps away from the abyss in which all niceties fall apart. I would argue that if John McCain were president, we would already have crossed that threshold; that the election of Barack Hussein Obama merely gave us some time to reconsider and turn away from a path that was mapped out under Bush.

Ruth Fogel was in the bathroom when the Palestinian terrorists pounced on her husband Udi and their three-month-old daughter Hadas, slitting their throats as they lay in bed on Friday night in their home in Itamar.

The terrorists stabbed Ruth to death as she came out of the bathroom. With both parents and the newborn dead, they moved on to the other children, going into a bedroom where Ruth and Udi’s sons Yoav (11) and Elad (four) were sleeping. They stabbed them through their hearts and slit their throats.


The murderers apparently missed another bedroom where the Fogels’ other sons, eight-year-old Ro’i and two-year-old Yishai were asleep because they left them alive. The boys were found by their big sister, 12-year-old Tamar, when she returned home from a friend’s house two hours after her family was massacred.

Tamar found Yishai standing over his parents’ bodies screaming for them to wake up.

In his eulogy at the family’s funeral on Sunday, former chief rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau told Tamar that her job from now on is to be her surviving brothers’ mommy.

In a rare move, the Prime Minister’s Office released photos of the Fogel family’s blood-drenched corpses.

They are shown as they were found by security forces.

There was Hadas, dead on her parents’ bed, next to her dead father Udi.

There was Elad, lying on a small throw rug wearing socks. His little hands were clenched into fists. What was a four-year-old to do against two grown men with knives? He clenched his fists. So did his big brother.

Maybe the Prime Minister’s Office thought the pictures would shock the world. Maybe Binyamin Netanyahu thought the massacre of three little children would move someone to rethink their hatred of Israel.

That was the theme of his address to the nation Saturday night.

Netanyahu directed most of his words to the hostile world. He spoke to the leaders who rush to condemn Israel at the UN Security Council every time we assert our right to this land by permitting Jews to build homes. He demanded that they condemn the murder of Jewish children with the same enthusiasm and speed.

He shouldn’t have bothered.

The government released the photos on Saturday night. Within hours, the social activism website My Israel posted a short video of the photographs on YouTube along with the names and ages of the victims.

Within two hours YouTube removed the video.

What was Netanyahu thinking? Didn’t he get the memo that photos of murdered Jewish children are unacceptable? If they’re published, someone might start thinking about the nature of Palestinian society.

Someone might consider the fact that in the Palestinian Authority, anti-Jewish propaganda is so ubiquitous and so murderous that killing the Fogel babies was an act of heroism. The baby killers knew that by murdering Udi, Ruth, Hadas, Yoav and Elad they would enter the pantheon of Palestinian heroes. They can expect to have a sports stadium or school in Ramallah or Hebron built for them by the Palestinian Authority and underwritten by American or European taxpayers.

And indeed, the murder of the Fogel children and their parents was greeted with jubilation in Gaza.

Carnivals were held in the streets as Hamas members handed out sweets.

Obviously YouTube managers are not interested in being held responsible for someone noticing that genocidal Jew hatred defines Palestinian society – and the Arab world as a whole. But they really have no reason to be concerned. Even if they had allowed the video to be posted for more than an hour, it wouldn’t have made a difference.

The enlightened peoples of Europe, and growing numbers of Americans, have no interest in hearing or seeing anything that depicts Jews as good people, or even just as regular people. It is not that the cultured, intellectual A-listers in Europe and America share the Palestinians’ genocidal hatred of the Jewish people.

The powerful newspaper editors, television commentators, playwrights, fashion designers, filmmakers and professors don’t spend time thinking about how to prepare the next slaughter. They don’t teach their children from the time they are Hadas and Elad Fogel’s ages that they should strive to become mass murderers. They would never dream of doing these things. They know there is a division of labor in contemporary anti-Semitism.

The job of the intellectual luminaries in Western high society today is to hate Jews the old-fashioned way, the way their greatgrandparents hated Jews back in the days of the early 20th century before that villain Adolf Hitler gave Jewhating a bad name.

Much has been made of the confluence of anti-Semitic bile pouring out of the chattering classes. From Mel Gibson to Julian Assange to Charlie Sheen to John Galliano, it seems like a day doesn’t go by without some new celebrity exposing himself as a Jew hater.

It isn’t that the beautiful people and their followers suddenly decided that Jews are not their cup of tea (or rail of cocaine). It’s just that we have reached the point where people no longer feel embarrassed to parade negative feelings towards Jews.

A DECADE ago, the revelation that French ambassador to Britain Daniel Bernard referred to Israel as “that shi**y little country,” was shocking. Now it is standard fare. Everyone who is anyone will compare Israel to Nazi Germany without even realizing this is nothing but Holocaust denial.

The post-Holocaust dam reining in anti-Semitism burst in 2002. As Jewish children and parents like the Fogels were being murdered in their beds, on the streets, in discotheques, cafés and supermarkets throughout Israel, fashionable anti-Semites rejoiced at the opportunity to hate Jews in public again.

The collective Jew, Israel was accused of everything from genocide to infanticide to just plain nastiness.

Israel’s leaders were caricatured as Fagin, Shylock, Pontius Pilate and Hitler on the front pages of newspapers throughout Europe. IDF soldiers were portrayed as Nazis, and Israeli families were dehumanized.

No longer civilians with an inherent right to live, in universities throughout the US and Europe, Israeli innocents were castigated as “extremist-Zionists” or “settlers” who basically deserved to be killed.

Professors whose “academic” achievements involved publishing sanitized postmodern versions of anti-Jewish Palestinian propaganda were granted tenure and rewarded with lucrative book contracts.

Today, when properly modulated, Jew hatred is a career maker. Take playwright Caryl Churchill’s 1,300- word anti-Semitic monologue Seven Jewish Children.

The script accuses the entire population of Israel of mass murders which were never committed.

For her efforts, Churchill became an international celebrity. The Royal Court Theater produced her anti- Jewish agitprop. The Guardian featured it on its home page. When Jewish groups demanded that The Guardian remove the blood libel from its website, the paper refused. Instead, it left the anti-Semitic propaganda on its homepage, but in a gesture of openmindedness, hosted a debate about whether or not Seven Jewish Children is anti-Semitic.

From London, Seven Jewish Children went on tour in Europe and the US. In a bid to show how tolerant of dissent they are, Jewish communities in America hosted showings of the play, which portrays Jewish parents as monsters who train their children to become mass murderers.

Seven Jewish Children’s success was repeated by the Turkish anti-Semitic action film Valley of the Wolves- Palestine, which premiered on January 28 – International Holocaust Memorial Day. The hero of that film is a Turkish James Bond character who comes to Israel to avenge his brothers, who were killed by IDF forces on the Turkish-Hamas terror ship Mavi Marmara last May.

No doubt owing to the success of Seven Jewish Children and Valley of the Wolves-Palestine and other such initiatives, anti-Semitic art and entertainment is a growth sector in Europe.

Last month Britain struck again. Channel 4 produced a new piece of anti-Semitic bile – a four-part prime-time miniseries called The Promise. It presents itself as an historical drama about Israel and the Palestinians, but its relationship with actual history begins and ends with the wardrobes. In what has become the meme of all European and international left-liberal salons, the only good Jews in the mini-series are the ones who died in the Holocaust. From the show’s perspective, every Jew who took up arms to liberate Israel from the British and defend it from the Arabs is a Nazi.

WHAT ALL this shows is that Netanyahu was wasting his time calling on world leaders to condemn the murder of the Fogel family. What does a condemnation mean? France and Britain condemned the massacre, along with the US. Does that exculpate the French and British for their embrace of anti-Semitism? Does it make them friends of the Jewish state? And say a British playwright sees the YouTubecensored photographs. No self-respecting British playwright will write a play called Three Jewish Children telling the story of how Palestinian parents do in fact teach their children to become mass murderers of Jews. And if a playwright were to write such a play, The Royal Court Theater wouldn’t produce it. The Guardian wouldn’t post it on its website. Liberal Jewish community centers in America wouldn’t show it, nor would university student organizations in Europe or America.

No, if someone wanted to use the photographs of Yoav’s and Elad’s mangled corpses and clenched fists as inspiration to write a play or feature film about the fact that the Palestinians have no national identity outside their quest to annihilate the Jewish state, he would find no mass market.

The headlines describing the attack make all this clear.

From the BBC to CNN the Fogels were not described as Israelis. They were a “settler family.” Their murderers were “alleged terrorists.”

As far as the opinion makers of Europe and much of America are concerned, the Yoavs and Hadases and Elads of Israel have no right to live if they live in “a settlement.”

So too, they believe that Palestinians have a right to murder Israelis who serve in the IDF and who believe that Jews should be able to live freely wherever we want because this land belongs to us.

Until these genteel Jew haters learn to think otherwise, Israel should neither seek nor care if they condemn this or any other act of Palestinian genocide. We shouldn’t care about them at all.

Mitch Daniels Misspeaks

‘Error code’ for what? I must have missed this. But I’m sure he must have said something to offend either the Right or the Left. If it’s the Right, redemption is still possible. If it’s the Left, he’s cooked. The very gates of hell will open up out of that shoe box (with the pot in it) of his.

It troubles me that Mitch Daniels felt compelled to walk anything back. It shows that his primary aim is to appeal to voters. Haven’t we had enough of that: politicians speaking out of both sides of their mouths, saying one thing to one audience and another thing to another; and walking it back both times. Who really knows what they intend?

I, for one, would have more respect for Obama if he were to come right out and say it; that his plan is to topple representative governance along with capitalism and impose shariah on the American people; and that, in addition, he wants to push Israel into the sea and murder every Jew on the face of the earth, instead of comparing himself to every past American president who happens to have - at one time or other - caught America’s imagination.

I would equally welcome any politician who would step forward (now) and declare his or her intention to stop Obama in his tracks. It’s not just about overturning Obamacare, reducing taxes, or soothing any other single-issue voters’ concern. It’s the whole ball of wax: energy, education, the economy, race relations, foreign policy, etc. - all of which feed into the mix of anti-Americanism in one way or another.

At least, this way we would know where we stand and we would not waste 99% of our time and energy debating each point separately to no conclusion.

Right now, I personally see no solution other than letting Obama have exactly what he wants - reduce our nation to the likes of Zimbabwe or North Korea - and watch if our population will not at some point rise up and hold the whole bunch of them responsible. Let them throw us in prisons; let them place an imam on every street corner, armed with a knife to slit our throats; let them take our children and keep them hostage in their madrassas; let them hold public hangings, floggings, stoning, and amputations; and make attendance mandatory. Let them demand our money and property and make them communal. Let them rape and defile our women. Let them do all these things and more and watch for the point at which the NYT and all the alphabet broadcasters decide to turn against them so that we can finally stand united against the onslaught that continues to rage against us. Change always comes from within.

Am hoping for the day when we will once again can see patriotic movies being made and hear patriotic songs sung. How much will it take to turn us around?

As long as we listen to guys the likes of Daniels and Gingrich with maple-flavored oatmeal dripping from their lips as they speak; I’d say, we still have a long way to go.

500 Million Pounds of Cheese a Year

Is it just me, or do Democrats invariably resort to disgraceful tactics? If so, should they even be allowed to govern. It does seem like Republicans have no antidote. Darrell Issa tries to make a start. From what I hear, he now faces a whole team of gumshoes trying to dig up dirt to discredit him. Additionally, his committee has now been subpoenaed relating to hearings held back in 2008 regarding Roger Clemens’ steroid use. Henry Waxman - not Issa - presided back then. The Dems must be terribly afraid of what Issa might find. They’ll try everything to block the investigations.

There’s dirt on all of us. It shouldn’t be hard to find dirt on Issa. If he happens to be a saint, they’ll just make something up. And the press will run with it. And even our guys will buy into it. Why? Because they’re dirty too - some of them. The rest are cowards (thank you, Joe). They thought the political gig was going to be a cake walk.

This is not a way to run a railroad. There’s real corruption here. This isn’t a way to run anything, much less a nation.

The Democrat party in this country is completely out of control. They’ll say and do anything. And they’ll do it in broad daylight. And the media spins it for them. And they come up smelling like roses every single time.

The folks are hip to it. And they’re disgusted by it; yet, at the same time they applaud like seals when Republicans stumble. Republicans are like the Jews - the pariah underdog; and I do mean ‘dog‘. Everybody will be applauding today - including the Jews - when the UN resolution against Israel passes without America’s objection. Everybody will know that it’s a farce, but - like with Bush in his heyday - we seem to get a kick out of beating piñatas to death and spilling their guts.

Sure, there will be some who will voice concern. But their concerns won’t be heard on the national media which is stuck in its own template. When a CBS reporter was beaten and raped in Cairo while the crowd shouted, “JEW!”, everybody tried to pretend it never happened, because it didn’t fit the template of the ’happy revolution’. Yesterday, Obama is said to have called her at the hospital where she’s been recovering. It must have pained him to have to do this - his people behaving so shamefully. Why couldn’t it have been Israelis or Tea Party members? Or a gang of right-wing talk show hosts?

Hypocrisy again; double standard again; spinning again. So tired of pointing it out (again)! Union thugs in Madison, and Hamas in Gaza using children as human shields - both lying through their teeth. Lawmakers running for the hills in cheesy Wisconsin; taxpayers bleeding red ink - it’s all grist for the ever-grinding mill just as long ‘Democrats' are turning the screws.

My humble message for Republicans: Fight them tooth and nail or roll over now! But spare us the drama.

Genocide

“This gas pipeline sabotage is an effective marker for the potential of much worse ahead.”

The game is a whole lot bigger than we are being told. And cut it out already with the ‘surprised' act! This has been in the works since Obama got elected - even before. It’s the reason Obama got elected in the first place. Obama could be counted on to go along with it - all of it. McCain would have only gone so far.

So, now we’re surprised. You don’t say! What the hell do we do now? Didn’t see that one coming - balderdash! - all of it. I’ll tell you who didn’t see it coming: we the people. Why? Because we’ve been lied to from the beginning. And we tried our best to believe. Nobody could be that evil, after all.

The whole thing is about Israel. We better start finding a new place for all those people to live before they’re all slaughtered. I don’t really understand all the animus against the Jews. Maybe it’s got something to do with the archaic idea of sacrifice. And maybe there’s really nothing to understand. We’re not dealing with rational minds here. They’ve even told us - over and over again. And, while we don’t quite agree, we sweep it under the rug and pretend everything is fine. - My ass, everything is fine!

What’s coming will make Rwanda seem like nothing. It’s in motion now. It’s coming together. And the world says nothing. Afterwards we’ll say, “What the hell happened?”

Time to put an end to it, NOW! But who will lift a finger? I still say the Chinese will make a play, just to give the impression that they weren‘t in on it. But I don’t think they really care either way. The only ones who could have stopped it early on were the Americans. But now, that Obama holds the reigns, we’ll let it happen. And after it’s over we’ll let Obama make speeches and wash his black hands. “Never again!” he’ll say, remembering something he had read somewhere in passing.

The Tables Are Turning

We’ve come full circle. The various struggles here in America as well as around the world all have a common denominator. At first blush it appears to center on the Tea Parties vs. the Washington establishment; or Palestinians vs. the Jews; or Islamists vs. the West. But that’s only seeing individual trees in the forest. The overall theme of the forest is consistent: The masses are rising up against the elites and the elites are fighting back trying desperately to protect the status quo.

Elites can be found on both the right and the left of the political spectrum. The Jews have been the world’s foremost elites. They have traditionally defined themselves as God’s chosen people.

For most of their history - having been denied their own soil to cultivate - they have doggedly tilled their own domain: the mind. As such, they have succeeded in defining the narrative of ‘success’ for the rest of us. Jews are hard working and disciplined. They have become highly influential within the ruling structure of numerous (particularly western) nations. They have become instrumental to the advancement of the arts, science, technology and finance. They have (perhaps) disproportionally reaped the rewards of their forward thinking under the guise of academic accolades and material success.

While there is no doubt that Jews have contributed greatly to our modern standard as we have come to accept it, this has also sown the seeds of resentment among the rest of us. While it is commonly said that those who align with the Jews will never be wanting, and those who abandon them will be assigned their own special ring in Dante’s hell; with each passing day, this particular paradigm becomes increasingly less relevant. Jews, in effect, have become the target of a predictable world-wide push-back against elitism.

Ironically, the seeds of animus against Jews may have been sown by Jews themselves. Marx’s dialectical materialism (which includes the core idea that "the history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles") stood Moses’ law (“thou shalt not covet, steal…”) on its head. It codified what had always been quite obvious (the have-nots wanting what the haves have) and made it inevitable, sanctifying the revolution (or cleansing) by which excess and inequity are tempered. But Marx focused only on the economic aspect. He evidently did not realize that there are other hierarchies, some based on birth, others on skin color, and still others on degrees of brutality.

The mullahs of Iran also represent an elite. The same tide set to sweep the high and mighty from their pedestals applies there as well (minus the economic aspect). It is only by brutality, fear and oppression by which they can continue to rule. And, again, in America, we are finally waking up and seeing that the ruling elites have become far too big for their britches. A political re-alignment has been long overdue. The proletariat is preparing to reclaim their nation.

World unrest stems from a push-back against the ruling elite by whatever ‘isms’ they choose to identify themselves. Left or right, elites are elites. The tables are turning. The last shall be first and the first shall be last.
