The U.S.-led NATO forces are not going to prevail. Not because they can’t. but because we don’t want them to. There’s s something else afoot. Pakistan is a failed state. Obviously it’s not a failed state to China. Ditto, North Korea.

There are any number of failed states being gathered up in South America, Africa, and in the Middle East. Assange can work both sides of the fence depending on which side you talk to. There’s even someone out there who finds terrorism useful, otherwise it would stop.

We’re being played. India, Israel and a whole slew of other nations don’t know it yet. They still believes the deck isn’t stacked. And this might surprise you: The culprits are not necessarily the culprits we are made to hate. This is simply a diversion. The culprits are inside our own American house.

America is the strongest, most opulent house on the block. Could there be any doubt that America is not in charge of its own affairs?

We’re told that America is in decline. The biggest house on the block never falls on hard times. But, at the same time, it remains free to make additions or alterations if the owners should so decide. The biggest house on the block determines its own changes. The change is toward totalitarianism. Things can be done either by doing or not doing. You don’t roll your mother-in-law off the cliff and into a lake, and then jump into the water and rescue her (though, on second thought, this ploy too has been tried before).

Suffice it to say that change is at hand. Our people already have an inkling of it. They are finding themselves increasingly marginalized. They feel they are being herded through a maze. They are made to argue amongst themselves as to what it all means. They’re not getting the straight story. The (stealth) narrative belongs to Obama, Pelosi, Soros, and Reid. WikiLeaks is only a part of the deception - so is Pakistan, North Korea, China, et al. The toy room is America.

They're Dangerous

I honestly believe you don’t give the Left enough credit, John. You shouldn’t dismiss them out of hand; they’re here, and they’ll still be here after the elections. They’re not interested in the economy; they’re not interested in jobs; Israel; GM; energy and whatever else we might feel is important. They’re not even interested in elections. They’ve got their guy in the White House and that’s enough for them. They’ll do their bloody best to keep him there, whether the economy improves or not.

Netroots is just the rabble - moronic; expendable. There’s an exact duplicate of those same people that you never see - or you see them in the guise of reasonable people in suits: Soros, Kerry, Frank, Schumer, Clinton, Reid, Pelosi - need I go on?

Then there are the internationalists, powerful men who harbor illusions of grandeur; self-appointed global visionaries who see themselves as having been anointed for the sole purpose of taking down no less than the United States of America - former bulwark of the free world. It is they who have the deep pockets; the endurance; and, above all, the organization to bring all this about. Their primary weapons are terror, propaganda and time. They hope to win by attrition; by exhausting us - the loyal, disorganized, partially blind opposition.

They see their time nearly used up. They will act now - or soon. Financial collapse, social unrest - they hold the strings - their guy in the White House. They have arrived. Elections be damned. They won’t let go. Even if we win overwhelmingly in November, what will we have we won? A Xerox copy machine? A House and Senate that have already discredited themselves beyond redemption?

Our disadvantage remains because we play by the rules. They don’t. That’s why we don’t win wars anymore. We fight by Queensberry Rules - like the British once did - and lost. Back in Washington’s time, we picked them off one at the time as they marched in neat formation. Their uniforms matched the pain we inflicted.

“A large, robust man in a blue suit…” Really, John? He wouldn’t do this if he thought his side couldn’t win. At one time there was an equally laughable chump with a mustache who managed to bring the world to its knees.

Don’t dismiss them, John. They’re dangerous.

Doin' just fine...

I wish I had a dime for every time I’ve heard the reporting of some financial statistic accompanied by the word ‘unexpected’. It’s been like this throughout much of the past decade. During most of the Bush administration the economic news month to month was mostly ‘unexpectedly’ good. During the Obama administration the economic data month to month has been consistently ‘unexpectedly’ bad.

It’s interesting to note that whenever Barack Hussein Obama talks about his own presidency, he always puts it within the context of the past two years – like, We have lost 8 million jobs in the past two years, saying in effect, It wasn’t all my fault; Bush was in on it. I’m just trying to make what Bush did less painful for the American people.

It might have worked for a couple of months, but nobody is buying it anymore. The fact is that things have deteriorated considerably since Obama came to office. Worse yet, there’s no prospect of things getting any better as long as Obama and Pelosi-Reid Democrats rule the political roost. Their policies seem to run counter to what we can expect of healthy, self-correcting free markets. At best, this indicates total fiscal ignorance. At worst, it betrays a deliberate assault on capitalism in general.

Also seldom mentioned is the fact that all the economic indicators only started trending downward since Democrats took over the Congress in 2007. Before that, we seem to have been doing just ‘unexpectedly’ fine.

On tap: Massive Government Hiring

Nobody is buying American party politics anymore. That's why I personally throw every mailing from the RNC into the trash without opening it. That's why I delete every e-mail from same unread. I'm tired of seeing people doing bad things to this country going unpunished. The closest thing I hear to it is 'Bush-Cheney' with an occasional 'Rumsfeld' thrown in for good measure. Go ahead! Punish them if they were so bad! String Bush up in the market square without a trial, for all I care. But put down some rules for God's sake!

Watching the Sunday shows I now understand how the Obama administration will try to tweak the employment numbers in his favor: massive government hiring. There's, of course, the census workers; a massive health care bureaucracy will also be needed. Then, this week came the news that anyone preparing tax returns will need to be government certified. I think that would make doing your own taxes illegal. There might be a fine or jail, similar to not having health or car insurance. I understand that government centers would need to be set up to accommodate those of us who pay taxes. This too would involve massive hiring.

No, I wouldn’t give a plug nickel to either party at this point. First, because I’m tapped out; and, second, because both parties appear to be pretty much the same. Right now they’re simply playing the ‘good cop/bad cop’ routine. I don’t hear the Republicans shouting, “Fire!” I don’t see them offering alternatives; I just don’t see them at all. Now it could be (and we should never discount this; it remains a huge problem) that whatever Republicans say does not get reported. I still see the basic MSM narrative as casting Republicans as racist and obstructionist (while all Dems are absolute angels). In fact, Republicans have been pushed out of the spotlight all together. All the political action is between the far Left and the fringe Left.

This poses a difficult problem for Republicans: Despite the outrages the Dems are committing every day, Republicans too are despised especially by their base. The likes of Gingrich and Powell are hated almost as much as Pelosi and Reid. Enter a third (Dobbs) party; and Democrats win again. Makes you wonder who exactly is fueling the third party movement.

By the way, want to know how it is the Dems have so much money? Extortion and outright theft.

What Happens Next?

I see a disconnect here. On one hand we're supposed to help the Mexicans, the Iraqis, the Pakistanis, etc. defeat the enemy. On the other, we're supposed to believe that Iran, N. Korea, and even Russia either have or will soon have nuclear weapons potential.

Since it's a fact that we're not really willing to stop anyone from having nuclear bombs, let's stop getting our panties in a knot about it and think logically. Let's show them that we don't really care what they say (or don't say) because we believe in ourselves.

Let's make it clear that we're willing to put our military, our bombs, and our technology up against theirs any time they choose. Let's call their bluff. Does anyone honestly believe that a bunch of psycho-illiterates can hit New York or Jerusalem with any kind of accuracy, with rockets that are more likely than not to explode on the launch pad?

I'm beginning to believe there's a lot of bluffing going on. And we've fallen for it too many times already. Believe it or not 'global warming' opened my eyes. Though I never thought that it was man-made or that we could do anything to reverse it, I basically believed what the 'scientists' were saying.

Now that we know that all of it was total fabrication, I'm starting to wonder about all the other stuff too: anything Obama, Pelosi or Reid say for starters. All I know is that every time they open their mouths, it costs me money. Well, I'm plumb tapped out - what happens next?
