Pre-Election Games

The donations to the Republican Party mean nothing, though these are said to be substantial. It won't add up anywhere near to what the Dems have already stolen. New York's 23rd represents a classic conundrum for Republicans. They stand to lose the seat by sheer stupidity; misreading the public mood, thinking that Republicans lose because they are just not liberal enough. Don't count Hoffman (Indi) out yet. The people may be quite ready to dump both major parties. Should Hoffman win, it would signal to the rest of the country that a third party could do very well next year and beyond.

I believe the mood in America has fundamentally changed. People are highly alarmed by what the Democrats have been up to. Neither do they see the Republicans as an alternative. This situation could result in one of two possible outcomes: Either, people will stay home en masse, refusing to participate in what they perceive to be a farce - in which case the Dems would win across the board with their 20% approval rating. Or they will come out and vote for 'none of the above'. In New York's 23rd this would mean a win for Hoffman.
