VOTE THEM ALL OUT

It’s become bigger than just Democrat vs. Republicans. My fear is that it soon won’t matter who we vote for. We’ve already had a taste of it in the last election. McCain would have been even worse for us than Obama. McCain would have done pretty much the same things Obama is doing, with the added spectacle of the Left going out of their minds (the way they did with Bush). And the whole thing would have tarred the Republicans (and the country) into the next century. At least this way, all the fallout will land on the Dems’ doorstep.

I’m not saying the Republicans represent anything close to a remedy. In fact, at this point, they must be seen as accomplices. Anyone who thinks that voting Republican will turn things around has another thing coming. It’s Washington – Democrats and Republicans alike – that’s the problem. The deafening silence of the Republicans these days is indicative of the ‘good cop/bad cop’ routine.

No, friends, we must figure out a way to cut them off at the pass. We must outsmart them. We’ve got to stop falling for the same old Democrat/Republican shell game and realize that we’re the ‘mark’ in any case – and the mark always loses.

No doubt about it, we must vote them ALL out and start from scratch. (The press will call it a ‘massacre’.) We must make it clear that they work for us; that we want an accounting for our money; that we want us to start winning wars again; that Americans expect nothing less than ‘numero uno’ where American leadership is concerned. To this end, we commit to doing our share of the heavy lifting. Each one of us will work impeccably at the job each of us is best at. We expect the government to stay the hell out of our way except for what’s specifically enumerated in our Constitution.

I have no illusions. It’ll take us a long while to get back to where we should have been all along. It might even be that the whole thing will blow wide open even before we get there. Times like these usually end up in some kind of tussle. It’s difficult to predict at the moment just who the antagonists might turn out might be. Recognizable borders certainly would have been helpful in this regard. But it’s not as if we’ve never been there before. Mr. Lincoln was quite effective in seeing us through the last time this happened.

  1. Both the GOP and the Dems belong to a group called politicians. They are loyal to themselves first. Even if we vote them out, who will we vote in? There are only two major parties and unfortunately, people want to feel like they are on a winning team. This leads to people compromising their own beliefs and principles to vote for someone so that they can win, at any cost.

Couple this with the newly enumerated 4th branch of government, it's difficult to get people motivated to question anything. I think the only evidence of this is the 912ers and Tea Baggers. Outside of that, we have a puerile population of half-wits in America that want their cut. That is the saddest part. Politicians have trained enough of us to expect something from the government that even if 1/3 want change, and 1/3 don't, you'll have 1/3 mush in the middle that is looking to get bribed, albeit with their own money.

    Nice to talk again Peter.

  2. Maybe the time has come for a third party. I used to oppose it because the third party always ended up splitting the Republicans. But times have changed. I think people are ready to dump both of the majors. The problem is, I see no one on the horizon that's willing to do it. Everybody's afraid they'll be chewed up and spit out by the media. Can't really blame them. Look what's happened to Sarah.

  3. Peter, if someone is very principled and has desire and ambition, they'll go through hell to do the right thing. I don't blame people for avoiding it, but there has to be some people out there who are not afraid.

  4. We've been so hollowed out by the attacks from the Left, all we've got left in us is expediency. Honestly, Guy, I see no one from within our political class stepping forward. Anyone trying it, is immediately drawn and quartered by the press.

There are some in the alternative media who are doing what they can. The day of reckoning is fast approaching for them as well. We'll know then who has the intestinal fortitude to stick to saying what's right. Michael Smerconish is an example of one who has already fallen from grace. There will be others.

On the political front there are only traitors. Some talk out of both sides of their mouths; some mumble into their handkerchiefs.

I do believe that if someone were to emerge who says all the right things; someone whom the people could believe in, most people would support him or her. If Sarah were to run, she would very likely sweep. It all would depend on her willingness to suffer media intimidation and her ability to circumvent the structure Obama is in the process of putting in place as we speak that would guarantee him occupancy at the White House in perpetuity. I honestly don't see it happening, especially if the dollar collapses between now and then.
